A cab driver was arrested in Hyderabad by the 'SHE team'(comprising of men & women police personnel), after he was caught filming a woman techie while she was asleep. ForIT expresses happiness with the 'SHE teams' efforts in curbing such crime against women, especially in the IT corridor.

However it is very unfortunate to see such incidents happening every now and then. Many IT areas lack the basic facility of street lighting. This should be immediately addressed. Though the number of buses has been increased during the peak working hours, the access to secured public transportation in the nights is not significant. Ensuring a secured public transportation even during odd hours would help in averting such incidents.
