ForIT (Forum of IT professionals) welcomes the statement made by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs which has made it clear that the Government takes a stand against the layoff of Satyam employees. This statement has come as a relief to the thousands on employees of Satyam who have been going through immense mental trauma and anxiety after the board statements about excess staff. This move of the Government has is much appreciated and raises hopes in the minds of IT professionals. ForIT had made appeals at various forums on various occasions on the need for the government to make active interventions in the affairs of IT companies where professionals are being laid off. However, ForIT and millions of IT professionals in India, especially the employees of Satyam, look forward for the actionizing of Government's statements and words of confidence.
