Let us unite for employment security! Govt.should intervene in ensuring job security!!

Join the list satyamites @ forit.in The developments in Satyam have certainly come as a shock to all of us. It is a thunderbolt in the background of the already bleak scenario following the global financial crisis.

The recent developments are resultant of the lapses on behalf of the top management. Satyamites are known for their committed ‘workship’ and have been the flag-bearers of the IT industry in many areas. The company acquired its brand value due to its dedicated, committed and proven work force. Satyam Computer Services is a public limited company with a significant portion of its partnership from public funding.

The state Govt.of Andhra Pradesh and the Govt.of India should intervene in protecting the interest of the employees associated with the company. This is not an issue pertaining to family matters but the one concerned with 53000+ lives associated with it and the public investments that came in.

It is certain that we are presently in turbulent times. The brand name has been tarnished with the developments that occurred in the last one month. However this failure which resulted in the inefficiency and fraudulent behavior of a few in the top management doesn't in any way reflect the capabilities of the employees associated with the company.

The news/rumors about possible takeovers/mergers floating around further deteriorate the situation. It is in these troubled times that we need to stand united. Standing united will help us in snatching the opportunity that shall knock in the days to come. Panicking and getting frustrated will only weaken the entire employee work force and shall not in any way help.

ForIT pledges to be with Satyamites in this tough period, and shall strive for the unity of IT professionals in ensuring the job security and protecting our employment.

Let us all unite to protect our employment and demand the govt to move towards ensuring job security.
